Ohme Home Pro EV Charger

The Ohme Home Pro is a smart 7.4kW home EV charger that combines simple everyday charging with intelligent energy management, solar compatibility, and app control.

Designed for single-phase homes, the Home Pro features a tethered Type 2 charging cable and a built-in colour LCD screen, allowing you to view and control charging directly from the charger or through the Ohme app. With dynamic smart charging, you can schedule charging around your electricity tariff and make better use of lower-cost charging periods.

The Home Pro also supports dynamic load balancing and solar charging when installed with the supplied CT clamp. It is available with either a 5m or 8m tethered Type 2 cable and is IP55 rated for indoor or outdoor installation.

Ohme confirms that the Australian Home Pro includes the CT clamp for load balancing, while its installation documentation confirms the cable holder, charging connector holster and wall mounting hardware are supplied with the unit.

What's not included

• Professional installation
• Dedicated circuit protection and overcurrent protection required for installation
• Junction box or suitable AC isolator switch
• 8m charging cable when purchasing the standard 5m model
• Any electrical upgrades required to make the property suitable for EV charging

The Home Pro does not have overcurrent protection built into the charger, so appropriate protection must be provided as part of the electrical installation.

Installation

Professional installation is required for this charger to function safely and as intended. The Ohme Home Pro must be installed by a competent electrician with appropriate knowledge of EV charging equipment and in accordance with applicable Australian electrical regulations, including AS/NZS 3000.

This purchase option does not include installation services. You are responsible for organising a professional installation service and ensuring the installer follows all applicable installation requirements.

Important note

The Australian Ohme Home Pro uses Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. An internet-connected Wi-Fi setup is recommended to access Ohme's full smart functionality, including remote app control, dynamic charging, energy optimisation, solar charging and over-the-air updates.

Solar charging requires the supplied CT clamp and an active Wi-Fi internet connection. Solar charging is not available when the charger is configured to operate in Bluetooth mode.
